Emergency First Aid at Work Training Course

 Training For Safer Work Environments

 

Intelligensa provide a range of accredited First Aid at work training courses that are Health & Safety Executive (HSE) compliant.

 

We award First Aid qualifications by Qualsafe and Highfield Qualifications.

 

These accredited qualifications are ideal for those wishing to become an Emergency First Aider at Work for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. they formally state you are a qualifies First Aider. Where required they comply with OFSTED and EYFS requirements.

 

All qualifications are assessed via on-going oral and/or written questioning and practical demonstration. 

All successful students will be issued with a certificate, valid for 3 years.

 

Training is delivered in house to minimise disruption to your staff and day to day business.

 

We are happy to run carousel courses where you invite staff from other employers along and they pay for their own place. This helps organisations to keep costs down.

Level 2 Award Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) (QCF)

1 day course for those wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

 

Topics within this qualification are regarded by the HSE as being important in maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of  injuries and ill health in the workplace. They include assessment, resuscitation, choking, minor wounds and shock

 

The qualification is valid for 3 years

Level 3 Award  First Aid at Work (FAW) (QCF)

This 3 day course is ideal for those wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981

 

Topics covered include: The roles & responsibilities of the First Aider,

assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms or injury and illness,

assisting a casuallty who is suffering from minor or major injury and illness such as a heart attack, bone fracture, chest injury, spinal injury and anaphylaxis.

 

The qualification is valid for 3 years

Level 2 Award Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an AED (RQF)

half day course recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace who have access to a defibrillator.

 

This course had been approved for delivery to pre-16 year olds and has been supported by both the HSE and Skills for Health.

Delegates will learn that cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation (AED) form an essential part of the chain of survival. The topics covered are regarded by Skills for Health as being important in maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation.

 

The qualification is valid for 3 years.

Level 3 Award Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) (QCF)

1 day course, for those wishing to become an emergency paediatric first aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children.

 

Topics within this qualification meet the requirements for paediatric first aid outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 as being important to maintaining safe and effective practice when providing treatment of injuries & ill health of infants & children who are under the care of trained personnel in England. Topics covered include bleeding, choking, resuscitation and shock.

 

The qualification is valid for 3 years.

Level 3 Award Paediatric First Aid (PFA) (QCF)

A 2 day course, for those wishing to become a paediatric First Aider in the workplace with responsibility for infants and children.

 

Topics within this qualification meet the requirements for Paediatric first aid outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 2014 as being important to maintaining safe and effective practice when providing treatment of injuries and ill health of infants and children who are under the care of trained personnel. Topics covered include minor and major injuries, fractures, extreme temperature exposure and poisoning.

 

The qualification is valid for 3 years.
