Q. When and where can training be delivered?

A. We offer maximum flexibility.

Unlike other training providers, our training can be delivered during the day, twilight or evening, 7 days a week at times that suit you.

We come to you

We will travel to your place of work or suitable local venue to minimise disruption to your staff and school.

Q. What size groups can you train?

A. Unlike other training providers, we can train large or small groups from 2 delegates upwards to become fully competent.

Our flexible team of trainers ensures we can meet your exact needs.

We are also happy to facilitate 'Carousel Training' where you can invite other delegates to attend and charge for places.

Q. What is the DfE guidance for using reasonable force?

A. The DfE states all schools should include the power to use reasonable force in their behaviour policy. Additionally, all employers must comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 requiring them to look after the health and safety of all people on their premises and staff therefore should be appropriately trained in the use of force.

Q. Do I have to use an existing or Local Authority supplied trainer?

A. The short answer is NO! In fact, the DfE prefers those procuring training to use their own judgement.

"We do not believe it is the place of the Government or its ministers to steer schools towards particular third party programmes or training."

"As a point of principle, we believe that we need to reduce the amount of direction from the centre - and the role of the state overall - to give head teachers and teachers the freedom to use their expert judgement."

Helen Yates, Public Communications Unit.

Q. How can I be confident that my staff will receive safe and legally compliant training?

 A. Our courses are internally and externally verified and quality assured by Edexcel and the National Federation for Personal Safety (NFPS)

We have 100% positve feedback

Q. What is the requirement for refresher training?

A. There is no legal requirement to maintain your skills to a specific schedule, however regulation 13 of the Management of Health & Safety Regulations 1999 requires training to be repeated periodically.

We recommend training is refreshed annually.
