Intelligensa offers affordable, flexible, high quality training delivered by qualified, insured trainers with a wealth of professional experience.
Intelligensa are Bild ACT Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) certified training providers.
Our trainers hold teaching qualifications & subject specific qualifications to a minimium of BTEC Level 3, including: Advanced Physical Restraint, Conflict Management, Advanced Risk Assessment and Risk Management, Advanced Self Defence, Physical Intervention for the security industry (SIA), Mechanical Restraints (handcuffing, soft cuffing etc), First Aid & Fire Warden training.
Our training is available nationwide and internationally, 7 days a week, including evenings.
We offer in-house, accredited and certified courses, for large and small groups.
We teach staff to recognise escalation triggers and skills to manage challenging behaviour. Our courses are designed to reduce risk to staff & service users when the need to intervene arises and are suitable for all ages. We deliver training for schools, NHS & private care sector, secure patient transport, foster families, numerous national companies, national and international government agencies, London boroughs, county councils and multiple charities.
Our training is delivered through a combination of online learning (optional), PowerPoint presentations, group discussion, observation of videos, demonstrations, role plays (short courses may not include all elements) and instruction and practice of safe holding, breakaway and physical intervention techniques.
Intelligensa was established in 2013 by our Director Andy Maddocks.
Throughout his distinguished career in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), Andy sat on Safeguarding Boards and ran the MPS Intelligence Unit for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Additionally, he delivered training in physical restraint techniques, handcuffing, use of batons, etc. to a range of staff and roles including Police Officers, PCSO's and custody staff. He has extensive professional experience of conflict management, restraint, handcuffing, breakaway and self defence, which adds essential real life experience and understanding to all training delivered.
We teach in compliance with NHS and DfE guidance.
All physical intervention techniques taught have been independently risk assessed.
We are affiliated to, licensed by and quality assured by the National Federation for Personal Safety (NFPS). We are an awarding body with Qualsafe Awards offering Ofqual regulated Qualifications, and deliver BTEC courses by Pearson Edexcel. We are members of the Institute of Conflict Management (ICM) and recommended trainers on carehome.co.uk
