PMVA, Physical Intervention, Control & Restraint Training - not BILD ACT certified
We come to you!
All training is focussed on restraint reduction and preventative strategies. We will teach your team Managing Challenging Behaviour, De-escalation, Breakaway skills & Restrictive Physical Interventions (restraint/PMVA) to safely hold people at risk of harming themselves or others.
If your staff are working with service users who may require physical interventions, & the setting is NHS commissioned or subject to CQC inspection, you will require statutory BILD ACT RRN certified training.

1 Day Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) course
1 day PMVA course that teaches the law, Breakaway skills (if required) & low level 'control & restraint' and physical intervention skills in the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA).
2 Day Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) course
2 day PMVA course that teaches the law, Breakaway skills (if required), low level and advanced 'control & restraint' and physical intervention skills in the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA).
1 Day Managing Challenging Behaviour and Breakaway Course
This 1 day course looks at behaviours that challenge, how to recognise, avoid them and some strategies to manage them. You will learn some simple and effective breakaway techniques, along with the the laws that govern them.
