PMVA Training for Individuals/Open courses BILD ACT RRN Certified
This 2 day BILD ACT Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) certified course meets the statutory training requirements for staff working in the NHS and CQC regulated settings.
This statutory requirement applies to temporary, permanent and agency staff, and can be found here.
Location : This course is delivered at St John's Methodist Church, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, EN6 2DZ, 4 minutes walk from Potters Bar mainline train station and less than 5 minutes from J24 of the M25. There are payable car parking facilities both onsite and locally. The venue is a 4 minute walk to the main shopping street where meals and refreshments can be purchased if required.

Who is this course suitable for?
This course is suitable for those staff working in the health, social care and education sectors for:
- Adults and/or Children
- People with mental health conditions
- People with learning disabilities
- Autistic people
- People with acquired brain injury
- People living with dementia
Fitness to participate
This is a physical skills course & some restrictions have been put in place for delegate safety. All candidates must be able to lower to the floor and rise unaided. Pregnant candidates are unable to attend. Post-natal delegates should seek medical advice from their GP before attending.

Pre-course Requirements
Delegates must:
- Adhere to the suitable clothing list that will be sent to you, i.e. tracksuit trousers, a T-shirt or similar, trainers and with jewellery removed.
- Complete the GDPR and Medical Form (Fitness to Participate) before starting the course.
- Complete the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) before starting the course.
- Plan your journey to prevent being late. If you arrive 30 minutes after the start time, you will not be permitted access to the course.
- Ensure you have photo ID to bring with you to the course
Terms, Conditions and Cancellation Policy
- To comply with the RRN Training Standards, delegates must: have previously completed Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Training.
- Delegates must complete and return the pre-course forms
- All courses are non refundable. Bookings can be transferred to another date, with a minimum of 72 hours notice. Only 1 transfer can be made per booking.
- Agencies will be able to swap candidates if required, subject to pre-course requirements being met.
- If you arrive 30 minutes after the start time, you will not be permitted access to the course.
- We reserve the right to cancel the course if less than 2 delegates are attending. A full refund or alternative date will then be offered.
- Delegates must bring photo ID with them on the day.
